Before It's Too Late

Research shows that those exposed to multiple war-time events are at a greater risk of long-term health problems. International Medical Corps Child-Friendly Spaces provide children with coping mechanisms to reduce this risk so that Iraqs communities can be stronger, healthier, and happier. 25 years of sanctions and violence have made Iraq a very dangerous place for children. 4.5 million have been orphaned. Half a million of these orphans are living on the streets without a home or family to care for them.
