International Medical Corps Staffer in DRC Awarded Interaction’s Security Advisory Group Distinguished Achievement Award

International Medical Corps’ Security Manager in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Muzalia Limpami Eva was recently recognized with The InterAction Security Advisory Group Distinguished Achievement Award. Presented at the 2014 Interaction Forum, the award recognizes exceptional performance by nongovernmental organization (NGO) security professionals, particularly those who significantly contribute to NGOs’ abilities to protect their personnel, assets, information or operations overseas.

Born in Bukavu, Eastern DRC, Eva joined International Medical Corps in October 2010 as Security Officer. In June 2013, he began coordinating security for all of our programs throughout DRC, assisting in the promotion of Security Awareness among our national and international staff. Eva’s efforts are pivotal in the success of International Medical Corps’ lifesaving humanitarian efforts throughout a region that is known for its tenuous security situation.  Through this distinguished award, Eva has been recognized by Interaction for his ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with other NGOs as well as UN Department of Safety and Security colleagues.  Congratulations Eva!

The InterAction Forum brings together leaders from not-for-profits, governments, philanthropy, corporations, and civil society to advance collaboration, effectiveness, and innovation in an effort to end poverty and move toward a more sustainable and equitable future.
