Thank you for sharing our work

When you share our work, it helps us connect with new supporters, and it makes a big difference for our staff and the people we serve to see their stories and their voices lifted up in front of a global audience. There’s hope in knowing that you’re not forgotten.

Below is a selection of posts that you can copy and paste or customize to your needs when you support our work on World Humanitarian Day, August 19. Thank you again for your generosity and your commitment to the health and well-being of others.

About World Humanitarian Day

World Humanitarian Day was established in 2008 following an attack on the Canal Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq, that killed 22 humanitarian aid workers. Humanitarian workers around the world—including our staff across nearly 30 countries—continue to work in difficult and dangerous conditions amid conflict and crisis. Because we focus on strengthening and supporting local health systems, most of our staff are supporting communities in which they live. In recognition of their hard work and dedication, we’re marking World Humanitarian Day by shining the spotlight on our staff in the field.

This World Humanitarian Day, I’m honoring the humanitarian workers at @internationalmedicalcorps and around the world who bring health and hope to communities in crisis.

Humanitarians often work in difficult and dangerous situations, saving and protecting lives and delivering the basics—food, water, health, mental health, nutrition and protection support—to people who are suffering because of war, disease and natural disaster.
