Disasters Don’t Wait. Neither Do We.

Our teams work in some of the most difficult and dangerous environments in the world—including Gaza, Sudan and Ukraine—to ensure and expand access to lifesaving medical and training services for civilians caught in conflict. We also work in surrounding regions to help refugees.

We provided more than 9.1 million health consultations, more than 3.3 million of them for children under 5, as well as specialized treatment such as nutrition, mental health support, and other services.

We have thousands of staff members worldwide, with the vast majority recruited locally. Because our approach encompasses relief, recovery and resilience, training is an essential and consistent part of everything we do. Our strategy ensures that the knowledge required to prepare for future emergencies remains anchored in the communities we serve.

Half of Syria’s population has been uprooted from their homes, fueling the largest displacement and refugee crisis since World War II. We reach people where they are, providing lifesaving healthcare, training and other services.

We continue to work with local ministries of health, leveraging our extensive experience and expertise in stopping such infectious diseases as Ebola (including during the 2014 West Africa Ebola epidemic—the world's largest), Marburg virus disease, measles and mpox.

We provide midwifery training so that more moms and babies can have healthy pregnancies—and safe deliveries.

Proper hygiene is a key ingredient to good health. We teach people how to prevent disease through good hygiene, while helping provide access to safe, sanitary conditions and clean water.

Training builds knowledge, instills confidence and fosters self-reliance.
