International Medical Corps and FedEx Deploy Emergency Field Hospital in Downtown Los Angeles to Train for Future Emergencies

Sixty to eighty medical and humanitarian professionals will be trained by Los Angeles-based global first responder to prepare for future disasters and crises

WHAT

International Medical Corps, in collaboration with FedEx, will deploy its Emergency Field Hospital in downtown Los Angeles, across from City Hall. 60-80 medical and humanitarian professionals will simulate responding to an array of potential international emergencies – like an infectious disease outbreak or a natural disaster. International Medical Corps staff, along with medical volunteers from Stanford University, Massachusetts General Hospital and the University of Connecticut, will participate in live simulations and training, while highlighting the lifesaving work the organization carries out in conflict and disaster zones around the world.
