In Ukraine, the Work Doesn’t Stop—Even in a Bomb Shelter

When air-raid alerts sound in Odesa and International Medical Corps staff has to take shelter, the work doesn’t stop. We have provided our staff with everything they need, outfitting our shelter with tables, blankets, food, water and wireless internet. They provide the commitment, courage and strong work ethic.

These photos were taken on February 10, as Russia launched more than 100 missiles against cities across Ukraine. Meanwhile, International Medical Corps staff across the country continued their work. In these photos, most staff member are working on laptops or phones, while a few who have jobs that can’t be done while sheltering in place—such as drivers—pass the time by playing cards.

Help us save lives.
